I am passionate about offering others the space to tell the story of their lives and explore the role of spirituality within that story. Listening, witnessing, companioning—these elements of spiritual direction give life to my soul. From my first training sessions, offering spiritual direction felt like coming home to myself. When someone trusts me enough to share their story, I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity.

While spiritual direction is my purpose, I gained life experience through a number of other opportunities. I taught high school English for two years after graduating college. Then, I served on several church staffs where I led volunteers and interacted with children and students birth through 12th grade.  This ministry involvement created a desire to support other ministry leaders in their pursuit of health and wholeness.

After I sensed a desire to pursue training as a spiritual director, I attended The School of Spiritual Direction with Larger Story/NewWay Ministries. Also, I received a graduate certificate in spiritual direction from Richmont Graduate University. Currently, I expect to graduate with a Master of Arts in Ministry degree in May 2024. I am trained in Brainspotting, as well as Focusing, which aid in integrating mind, body, and spirit.

On a lighter note, I am an avid reader. Sitting on my deck with tea and a good book is my favorite way to relax, though sitting around a fire is a close second choice. During the covid lockdowns, I developed a plant hobby, which quickly overwhelmed our house. I love watching birds at our various feeders. As a mother to active children, I am often driving them to their various activities, so I indulge my love of music and singing along the way.
